Avondale Estates is a separate city within metropolitan Atlanta. The Tudor-Revival style architecture found in the business district village and in residential homes was inspired by Shakespeare’s birthplace, setting Avondale apart from neighboring communities. It is one of the first “planned” cities in the Southeast named on the National Registrar of Historic Places. Avondale Estates is known for its close-knit community, beautiful setting and diverse architectural styles. Community amenities include beautiful Lake Avondale, the Community Club House, tennis courts, and a swimming pool.
